Glider Stewards

The glider stewards are club members who have volunteered to act in a special capacity for the club. Each USA gliderport base has a glider steward. In an effort to coordinate local base activities and actions with the rest of the club, the stewards have elected to take on additional responsibilities. These responsibilities include:

• Liaison between local gliderport membership and the board of directors.
• Coordinate glider maintenance issues.
• Point of contact for local gliderport issues.
• Coordinate glider movement into and out of the local gliderport site.
• Acquainting members unfamiliar with the local gliderport with site operations. Note: This does not preclude the requirement for a site checkout from a club instructor.
