Initiate Insurance
Until you have been a Full or Associate member for five full seasons (not necessarily continuous), you are required to hold non-owned (renter’s) insurance with aircraft (hull) damage coverage of $40,000. Limited members must also hold this insurance. Because the Association provides your liability insurance and you can choose annual, monthly, weekly or daily coverage, this can be inexpensive. See Initiate Insurance
Damage assessments
All members not covered by Initiate Insurance (above) are responsible for up to $10,000 in damage they do to club equipment, or more if violating a Flight Operating Rule contributed to the damage. See Bylaws 16.6.
